Setup email and text messaging appointment reminders

1. Click on Advanced Setup and choose Appt. Reminders to open Appointment Reminder Configuration.

2. To Add/Edit Email Reminder configuration setup details, select E-Mail tab and enter required information.

 

From (E-Mail)

The sender email address that display in the reminder.

Auth. Mail

Mail ID from which alert is send.

Auth. Password

Password of the authorization mail.

Mail Host

Host address of authorization mail.

Subject

Subject of alert message send to patient.

Select Message Template

Select the type of reminder send. I.e. should appointment reminder send to all appointments created(Generic) or to appointments having a specific combination appointment status & type(Appointment Status and Type Specific). On selecting Generic, can select the letter which is to be attached to the appointment reminder if needed. Field displays the list of letters with group code "APPOINTMENT-REMINDER"

Test Email Settings

To test the configured email setting that email send & receive works properly.

Message

Alert message that is to be send to patient.

Send

The alert should be send, to the patient prior to the selected days/hours before scheduled appointment

Enable

To enable/disable the alert

 

3. To Add/Edit SMS Reminder configuration setup details, select SMS tab and enter required information

4. Click on the Save button to  save edited/added changes.

 

Appointment Reminder Configuration in Patient Master.

1. Click Setup module and choose the Patient menu to select desired patient to setup reminder configuration.

2. Enter the contact information details like Home phone, Work phone, Cell Phone or E-mail address of the selected patient.

3. Select the means of appointment reminder from the Appointment Alert pop-up under Contact Information, to send appointment reminder.

4. Phone carriers should be selected, in case of selecting home, cell & work phone options.

5. The system will start sending alerts to the patient according to the saved setup, from the next valid login to this account.
